Kirti Mandir
Brief History
Kirti Mandir is a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and his wife, Kasturba Gandhi, located in Porbandar, Gujarat. Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869 in the ancestral house of the Gandhi family, which is located adjacent to Kirti Mandir. The foundation stone of Kirti Mandir was laid in 1947 and the memorial was completed in 1950. The complex preserves the ancestral home and includes exhibits, photographs and a library related to Mahatma Gandhi and Gandhian philosophy.
